Join a Committee

One of the best ways to take advantage of your membership is to join a committee. You can impact your business by building relationships within the Chamber and advertise your talents by demonstrating them through committee service. Choose an area of interest and get involved! 

Ambassador Committee is designed to assist & promote the PNRC’s services as part of its recruitment & retention efforts in the Pittsburgh North region. Ambassadors are focused on three core functions for the Chamber: recruitment, retention, and services.

Community Outreach Committee focuses on service & promoting goodwill within our regional footprint.  This includes endeavors such as scholarships, Days of Caring and Giving Trees, etc.  The committee works in conjunction with the staff & Board of Directors to identify worthwhile outreach endeavors to promote and support.

Events and Programming Committee serves as a support system to the PNRC staff in the planning, development, execution, and follow up for the PNRC’s Signature events and programs.  The PNRC offers a range of events and programs designed to strengthen and grow businesses within the regional footprint.

Farmers Market supports the strategic direction of the Cranberry Twp. Farmers Market and Holiday Village Market. The committee serves as a support system to the PNRC throughout the planning process and during the Market season. The Farmers Market offers a wide variety of elements such as special events (4) and an Annual Holiday Village Market the first Saturday in December to support Small Business Saturday and shopping local.

Golf is responsible for the planning, execution, and staff support for the Annual PNRC Golf Outing.  The committee focuses on fundraising initiatives and activities during the golf outing to help strengthen and grow the event each year.

HYPE, Helping Young Professionals Excel, supports the growth and involvement of talented young professionals by creating business opportunities, supporting community involvement, and fostering an overall investment in the future of our region. HYPE brings together young professionals with the most powerful network of business leaders in the Pittsburgh North region by providing opportunities, information, and mentorship to the next generation of leaders.

Legislative & Economic Development Committee works to encourage and support the growth of local businesses within the geographic areas served by the Chamber. This committee will be proactively involved as an information gathering and disseminating organization on issues that impact business growth, development and the infrastructure of our communities. The committee continually informs our members as to current political and legislative issues that affect the membership of the Chamber and businesses in our footprint.

Membership Committee supports the strategic direction of the Chamber to improve its value proposition and ensure programming and service excellence.  The committee is responsible for identifying the needs of the members to ensure the Chamber offers a solid return on the membership investment. The committee provides valuable insights on the best ways to: grow membership, engage and retain current members, evaluate and make recommendations on member benefits and identify opportunities and business trends in specific industries.
